Location: The ideal candidate should reside in the Northeastern Ohio Region.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have excellent sales and communication skills, paired with the ability to provide support to golf, sports turf, municipalities, universities, and government facilities. Golf course or grounds management, and college degree is preferred.
Compensation: Competitive Salary Plus Commissions

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing all golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring it operates safely and efficiently. This position works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and maintenance staff to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and small engines.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues; order and install replacement parts as needed.
Maintain accurate service and repair records for all equipment.
Ensure cutting units are sharpened and adjusted for proper performance.
Keep the shop area clean, organized, and safe.
Assist with training staff on proper equipment operation and care.
Communicate equipment needs or safety concerns to the Superintendent.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a mechanic (golf course, turf, or agricultural equipment experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel/gas-powered equipment.
Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics.
Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Title: Golf Course Superintendent
Reports to: Board of Trustees
Position Description: Youngstown Country Club is searching for an inspirational and forward-thinking Golf Course Superintendent to lead the agronomy department in delivering championship conditions steeped in tradition. This position demands innovation balanced with reverence for the club’s historic legacy and member-centered culture.
You will direct all agronomic operations, manage budgets and staff, drive strategic enhancements, ensure compliance and safety, and collaborate closely with Club leadership and members. Your stewardship will carry forward the Morley legacy while positioning YCC for continued excellence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Establish and oversee the agronomy department, procedures, controls, and focus with the goal of providing consistently high-quality playing conditions and attention to detail.
Maintain and elevate course conditions; greens, fairways, and roughs aligned with Ross/Travis design ethos.
Implement policies and procedures for the agronomy department, including compliance with company expectations while maintaining exceptional playing conditions.
Ensure the safety and compliance of the department by meeting all federal, state, and local regulations regarding chemical applications, labor laws, and all other regulations that apply to agronomic practices.
Implement and oversee chemical, fertilizer, irrigation, and turf management plans, ensuring adherence to regulations.
Work with the Board of Trustees in the preparation of the annual budget, including all expenses within the department.
Review and analyze various financial results/reports while monitoring the overall agronomy department performance and take any corrective actions that may be needed.
Maintain and produce various (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) business reports, forecasts, and plans accordingly.
Create a team atmosphere where agronomy team members learn and grow in their profession.
Instill a sense of pride in teamwork, which will contribute to the achievement of Youngstown Country Club's vision.
Propose capital improvements and strategic projects for turf and infrastructure enhancements for the annual budget.
Collaborate with the Board of Trustees on annual budgets; monitor expenses and drive cost-efficient operations.
Organize department management meetings, and staff meetings, and participate in department head/committee meetings as designated.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of Youngstown Country Club's equipment and other assets.
Advise and assist the Board of Trustees and implement policies, procedures, and goals that will strategically enhance the agronomy department for operational and financial success.
Ensure member and guest satisfaction with respect to all levels of service and operation within the department.
Participate in club leadership and department meetings; represent agronomy in cross-departmental initiatives.
Engage diplomatically and professionally with members, guests, and staff reflecting YCC’s standard of excellence.
The Superintendent is encouraged to participate in the game of golf with the membership when time allows.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Including, but not limited to, the following:
A college degree or university program certificate is required.
Degree in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture or related field preferred.
Class A Membership in the GCSAA.
A minimum of 5 years of Golf Course Superintendent or Lead Assistant Superintendent experience at a high-quality facility is required.
Extensive experience managing high-quality cool-season or transition zone turf grass is essential.
Experience in cool season turf management is preferred.
Experience working with classic course architecture and managing turf in historic settings.
Construction, renovation, and grow-in experience is preferred.
Chemical and Pesticide certificates.
Valid Driver’s License.
The club will provide a compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. This includes but is not limited to:
Salary: $105,000 - $125,000
Performance Bonus: Up to 10% of salary
Total Anticipated Compensation Up To: $137,500

About the Role:
Blacklick Woods Golf Course is a municipal facility run by Franklin County Metro Parks that features an 18-hole Championship Course and 9-hole executive course. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead and manage the maintenance of our courses and driving range. This is a hands-on position requiring strong knowledge in all aspects of golf course maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and supervise all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf care, irrigation, and landscaping.
· Develop and implement agronomic programs to ensure the health and playability of the course.
· Operate and maintain turf care equipment
· Manage and supervise a team of four full-time and eight part-time staff, providing training and performance oversight.
· Ensure adherence to Park District rules, regulations, and policies.
· Apply fertilizers and chemicals in accordance with industry standards
· Oversee and maintain irrigation systems, with a strong understanding of irrigation practices
· Manage and maintain a variety of different grasses, including Zoysia, to optimal playing conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Prior experience in golf course maintenance as a superintendent or assistant superintendent
· Turfgrass/Agronomy degree or education
· Possession of an Ohio pesticide applicator’s license.
· Expertise in chemical application and turf management
· In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems and Zoysia grass care
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· GCSAA membership preferred

We provide our salesmen with a demo fleet and take our business directly to the customer…much of our business is conducted at the customers location.
Position Summary:
We employ a sales force that covers a large geographic territory, including Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Our salesman are responsible for a geographic territory, defined by county. They target golf courses, school districts, colleges/universities, cities/municipalities, park systems, any other turf-related accounts, and wherever the equipment we represent has an application.
This position may require 1 day (8am – 5pm) of inside sales responsibility per week to assist walk-in residential customers. This weekly assignment will be determined by the sales manager, the needs of the company, and may fluctuate seasonally.

Manual work in the cleaning, maintenance and minor construction of the City of Dayton golf course facilities and related areas. Oversees and participates in the activities of employees involved in relevant tasks to maintain the golf courses in proper playing condition. Work is occasionally inspected while in progress and upon completion by a technical supervisor.
Must meet one of the following:
1. Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND currently employed for 6 consecutive months or more with the City of Dayton in a classified Civil Service position AND 3 years of experience in golf construction, irrigation and maintenance at a City of Dayton golf course; OR
2. Associates degree in Agronomy, Turf Management, or related field AND 3 years of experience in golf construction, irrigation and maintenance.
Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission or equivalent region.
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.
Within 120 days of appointment, must obtain an Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Pesticide license in the categories of Core, 6A and 8 and maintain as a term and condition of continued employment.
Must be a full-time permanent (or part-time permanent) employee in pay grade 116 (Wage) or below, pay grade 25 (Clerical) or below, or equivalent, and been employed for 6 consecutive months by the City of Dayton in a classified Civil Service position. Identical scores will be broken by (1) seniority and (2) random selection method.
Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination and providing documentary evidence of Employment Authorization and Identity. Identical scores will be broken by a random selection method.

Moundbuilders Country Club (“MCC”) is a private country club and is changing locations to an 18-hole golf course currently known as the Trout Club. MCC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the upgrade, maintenance and care of the golf course. The Superintendent will manage the overall condition and appearance of the golf course to ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. This is a full-time, year-round position located in Newark, Ohio.
· Work with a golf course architect on projects involving remodeling and upgrading the course, including, but limited to, installation of an irrigation system, building bunkers, re-routing holes, rebuilding tees and greens and changing current fairway and rough turf types.
· Manage and lead a team of groundskeepers, providing training and performance oversight.
