This March will bring the typical clashes of warm and cold air that mark the transition from winter to spring. The temperatures will be cold in Ohio to start March, but the cold spell will be brief. Southerly winds will bring warmer air to the state after a few days. The temperature will be much above normal during the second week of March. The temperatures will continue to fluctuate between warm and cold during the second half of the month. Frequent southerly winds will provide more warm days than cold days during the latter part of March. The average temperature in Ohio will be above normal for the month of March.
A front will linger near Ohio during the beginning of March. The front will contribute to rain and snow that will fall over the state. The storm track will be closer to Ohio during the month. Several storms will bring chances for heavier rainfall. Those storms could also produce spring thunderstorms. March won’t be a complete washout. There will also be a number of warm sunny days during the month. Overall, the total precipitation will be above normal during March.
