Assistant Equipment Technician

NCR Country Club is actively seeking a motivated, full-time assistant equipment technician to be apart of our turfgrass team. This position is designed to provide support to lead equipment technician, as well as preforming cutting unit inspection and maintenance, among other duties. We are looking for an individual that possesses a mindset for attention to detail, as well as the ambition to learn and develop in this role.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Communicate with Equipment Manager regarding any needs/problems relating to maintenance or repair with equipment.
  • Provide training to new team members for proper and safe use on various pieces of equipment.
  • Assist with scheduling of preventative maintenance, repair and record keeping of a two million dollar fleet of turfgrass equipment.
  • Specialize in small equipment maintenance such as string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws and rotary mowers.
  • Ability to assist with equipment operation as needed around the facility.
  • Inspect, evaluate, adjust and repair cutting units daily.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that all safety devices on equipment are in working order.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Reliable 40+ hour work week, includes rotating weekend scheduling and opportunity for overtime.

Compensation: Competitive for position, DOE

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent, at least two years of experience in maintaining small gas / diesel engines and or related equipment. A valid driver's license is required.

Club History

NCR Country Club was designed by the late Dick Wilson and opened for play in 1954. The Club has two distinctively different 18-hole courses, the North and the South. The North Course is a prairie-links style with a par of 70 and a total yardage of 6,828. The South Course a par 71 covering 7,048 yards of heavily-wooded and rolling countryside, has long been included in Golfweek “Top 100 Classic Courses”.
