Position: Golf Course Superintendent
Facility: National Golf Links
Location: South Charleston, OH
Seeking a qualified individual to be responsible for the overall golf course operations and maintenance at National Golf Links (NGL) in South Charleston, Ohio. NGL is a family owned and operated golf course since 1995. The championship course is on 312 acres of rolling hills with several creeks and ponds. The responsibilities include turf grass/plant material maintenance, personnel management, chemical and pesticide applications and compliance of regulatory issues.
Major Duties:
- All activities associated with producing excellent playing conditions
- Development and implementation of fertilizer, aeration and pest management program for turf grass and plant care
- Develop maintenance budget and operating plan with input from owner/manager
- Participate with the development and implementation of course improvement projects
- Participate and or supervise equipment maintenance and repair
- Works closely with Golf Professional as it relates to course conditions and outing set ups
- Works closely with owner/manager
Qualifications:
- Turf Management degree preferred 2 or 4 years
- Experience with irrigation systems
- Experience with equipment maintenance and repair
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision and work flexible hours including weekends as needed
Compensation:
$54,000 negotiable based on experience
